New website ‘JobJump ‘ will be available soon – you will be notified when. You can register for this free service – information ed directly to you. Parents can register too. Weekly regionalised TAFE courses and job vacancies; earnings across 300 careers; bonus points across all universities in NSW and their links; EAS information; alternative entry etc.
Guest speakers Guest speaker program will include talks after school early term 3. Expected speakers include: UOW Early admission Bluescope Steel Defence Force TAFE Private Colleges Etc. Registered students MUST attend
Different pathways to where you want to go TAFE UOW College Work experience Delayed application –eg- Police, FireBrigade, Defence Force etc GAP year – work – volunteer – travel - lifestyle

Careers Interviews Every Year 12 student will be interviewed at least once this year. Informal interviews Recess 1 and 2 Brief interviews or urgent interviews need to be booked. Notice of this procedure to be given in term 2

‘SOFT SKILLS’ ARE REALLY IMPORTANT So called ‘soft skills’ like Time management Attitude Willingness to learn. Confidence Communication skills Self discipline etc Can be the deciding factor in you getting a ‘go’!
