8 Policies All policies will be discussed with students next year but these are 2 that always get asked about : Hat Policy – given a hat at start of year and that is the only hat you wear. Electronic device policy – including mobile phones are not to be brought into classrooms and are to be left in their bags.

9 BYOx Policy In 2015 USHS will provide access to allow students in Years 7-9 to bring approved, personally-owned, computing devices into the classroom to assist with learning opportunities. A $50 administrator fee will be charged. Any queries contact:

16 Class/Form Organisation
10 form classes of approximately 24 students. The form teacher closely monitors student progress and acts as a mentor. Our aim is to keep the class and the teacher together for their entire time at Urangan. Form: everyday and includes SELF and LAN lessons Mixed abilities from a variety of primary schools. Our School has its own Special Education Unit. ACE Programs – Music & Academic

19 Peer Support Program Each class will be assigned peer mentors
(Year 10 students work with year 8’s and year 9 students work with year 7’s) Peer mentors are given training and will work closely with their assigned classes during the first week and will continue to play an important role throughout the year
