Uncle Charlie Ten Reasons He’s An Angel Private Investigator: Alice Chao Case #: 2006-10-20
#10 I did the traditional Google search for “Seattle” and “angel,” which returned Angel Consultants on 219 1 st. St. as the first result. Uncle Charlie moved to Austin from Seattle. And he does consulting work!
#9 Angels are composed of ethereal matter. Uncle Charlie is way too energetic to be human. Don’t believe his Type A personality explanation... He doesn’t sleep either; I never saw him use the bedroom during one of the retreats. The bedspread was completely unruffled at the end of two nights.
#8 An angel is one who acts as a messenger, attendant, or agent of God. Fortunately, we have picture proof. Who goes to their first welcome night and wears business casual and shades? At night!
#7 Angels possess gigantic strength. Picture speak a thousand words. Uncle Charlie is the only one able to lift that heavy cardboard box. Isaac looks simply flabbergasted. He’s wearing the shades again…
#6 Angels possess superior intelligence and surpassing holiness. Every time I went to a prayer meeting with Uncle Charlie in attendance, we would get specially prepared handouts. He would summarize and then tell us relevant stories from his life experience.
#5 Angels enjoy an intimate relationship with God, contemplating, loving, and praising Him in heaven. Uncle Charlie’s pictures always show him to be looking toward Our Father’s heavenly home.
#4 Angels have been shown to be fallible and prone to sin. Tell me this isn’t gluttony and that isn’t Uncle Charlie sitting smack dab in the middle! I thought so!
#3 Each angel carries out its assigned tasks without any hint of hesitation as they take great joy and pleasure in offering their loving wisdom and guidance. Most guys would rather sit on the couch and watch T.V. than be made a buffoon by dancing with their significant other. Not Uncle Charlie!
#3 (redo) Each angel carries out its assigned tasks without any hint of hesitation as they take great joy and pleasure in offering their loving wisdom and guidance. Uncle Charlie’s small group was by far the winner when it came to which group was closer, whether in their sharing or in spirit.
#2 Angels do not die or age, they are immortal, created by God and existing since the Creation. Compare him as a newcomer versus someone leaving for his new job. I can’t tell the difference! The shades again …
#1 Angels are dedicated to serving our needs, so that we experience the unconditional love of God. You don’t need to be a PI to figure this out. Uncle Charlie, God’s love for you has affected this fellowship so deeply in the time you’ve been serving here. God sent you, an angel warrior, to prepare us for His kingdom. Now he’s sending you somewhere else, but we will remember you always.
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another – 1 John 4:9-11
