Today’s Goals…  Impact GP/MR from the Web with Business Portal  Make a Journal Entry  Perform a Customer Inquiry  Review Analytics from Business Portal

Today’s Goals…  Deploy Business Analyzer for Quick Graphic KPIs  Select Metrics to view from within GP –Within GP (GP for last 12 months) –From BP/SP, SSRS-KPIsBP/SPSSRS-KPIs  Choose how metrics are viewed  Setup/view metrics from Outside of GP  View reports on SharePointSharePoint  Reports can be customized

Today’s Goals…  Configure SharePoint to Maximize use of MR/BP/BA  Setup SharePoint to allow publishing from external sources  Key considerations for security/setup/naming conventionsconventions  Use SharePoint to notify users of updates  View MR reports on SharePoint without a MR viewer

Let’s Begin…  Key Features of Management Reporter  Publish to SharePointSharePoint –Configure in MRConfigure –Configure in SharePointConfigure  Automatic Notification to user from SharePoint (Library >> Alert Me) Automatic  Multiple Links to Row Definitions  Dimension Sets –Useable in Rows, Columns, etc. with regular dimensions. 01 – Dimension Set in a Column 02 – Dimension Set in a Row (Same Dimension Set) 03 – Dimension Set in a Column (Same Dimension Set)  Charts, Comments (appear in excel extracts) 01 – Dimension Set in a Column (Bar Chart in Excel Extract) 04 – Monthly Income Statement for Bar Graph in Excel Extract)

Let’s Begin…  Key Features of Management Reporter  Review MR reports without MR viewer  Security Groups –Discuss Bug, Pre-RU5, note Lumbergh in Summary and All Access Groups  Limit access with Trees, One Report for Many Users  Report Scheduler  Send a report link via to another user  Link to External Spreadsheets* –Edit >> Row Links >> New  Links to other MR Reports*

Let’s Begin…  Impact GP/MR from the Web with Business Portal  Make a Journal Entry*Journal Entry  Perform a Customer InquiryInquiry  Review Analytics from Business Portal

But wait, there’s more…  Report Groups before MR service pack RU5 cannot have a user in more than one group. Result: The user sees NO reports, not all they are assigned to. Scripts are available for pre-RU5 users to search for users in > 1 group.  Failed MR report notifications can be cleaned out of the notification window. A script is available.  RU5 defaults the reports to the web viewer. The option must be changed per each workstation. A registry edit is required to change this default.  The Legacy (xxx-curr) database is still required if you use multi-currency. This is due to change in RU6 (June, 2013).  The Legacy (xxx-curr) database has MOST but not all of the formatting fixes for MR.  The service account required for MR installation should to be a domain admin. Minimum requirements for non-domain service accounts include 1) Domain User, 2) Explicit, full access to the MR program directory.  Changing from the Legacy to DDM databases is time consuming. Yes, a script is available to help with that also.  Some MR installations may fail if the *.ldf and *.mdf files are not in the same directory. This is still under research…  Segment names in MR should match GP. Normally you change GP account format, but you can also make the change in MR with this script. (update ReportCompanySegment where…) in the MR database.

Questions?… Surprise…Document Imaging, a very Quick Look. Formal presentation to come.
