2.  Started in 2002 by former Fulton County GIS Supervisor, Roger Freytag.  Met 1 - 2 times a year in the beginning and now we try to meet quarterly.  Main purpose is to give local GIS users a chance to meet, share information, and ask questions in an informal, supportive atmosphere.  Our meetings also support users by providing opportunities to give presentations, co-host, and present map displays which can be used to meet some of the GISP criteria.

4.  We currently operate only through email notifications.  There are 119 people on the email list.  Average attendance is around 10 – 20.  We have a mix of members from educational, public and private organizations.  We are always open to new ideas and interests and encourage our members to get involved with planning and facilitating meetings.
