ACA is helping the Medicare recipient – In 2010, 148,238 Ohio Medicare patients got a $250 rebate if they are in the “donut hole” – In 2011, 185,014 Ohio Medicare patients received a 50% discount for brand name drugs – Savings of $512 / person or $94,798,047!! – Nationwide, 3.4 million Americans saved $2.1 billion in 2011. – The donut hole will be closed by 2020.
