2 These verbs have a stem change only in the YO form: HACER PONERhago hacemos pongo ponemoshaces hacéis pones poneishace hacen pone ponenSALIR TRAERsalgo salimos **traigo traemossales salís traes traéissale salen trae traen**Note that the YO form of TRAER adds an ‘i’ along with the ‘g’ to the stem!
3 HACER and PONER are used in idiomatic expressions [does not translate directly from one language to another] :hacer un viaje to make [to take] a triphacer la maleta to pack the suitcaseponer la mesa to set the table
