4 These were the writing tasks for the 2009 proficiency.
Read the following LIVONIA STUDENTSletters that were written for this test.

5 #31 Curtis has written 82 words. After cross outs he has 66 words. He has fulfilled the task. His vocabulary is outstanding and his sentence structure excellent. Notice how many peoples’ names he has written but they don’t count! A truly perfect letter!

6 #32 Aly has written 80 words. After cross outs she has 66. Her vocabulary is varied, sentence structure almost perfect and she fulfills the purpose of the task. She has earned a perfect score on each.

7 #33. This person has received a 0 because they did NOT fulfill the task. The task was to write to your friend who is SICK. No mention of this is in the letter. Note that there are English words that do NOT count. The person wrote 60 words and had 50 after cross outs. However, the letter does not count at all.
