2. Day 1: We left the Changi Airport and headed off to Shanghai airport! This is what we saw when we reached the Shanghai airport:

3. When we reached… When we reached Wuxi, we met our tour guide: Uncle Richard. We boarded the bus and headed off to our first destination: Dinner!!! We had a scrumptious but I didn’t take a picture of it. He He…

4. The HOTEL… After dinner, we boarded the bus and went to our hotel!! Our beds was very beautiful and comfortable!!! Look & see for yourself:

5. Preparation for the next day… Before we slept, we prepared for the next day. We were going to SCHOOL! We were assigned 1 buddy each. The school that we were going to is called: We prepared our school shoes, took a shower and went to bed.

6. Day 2: We woke up early in the morning at 0730 hours. We Packed our “school bags” and went to the breakfast hall to have breakfast. We had buffet for breakfast. After breakfast, we headed off to start school! We were assigned 1 buddie each.

7. Lunch… When it was their lunch time, they ate in class and the school provided food for them. I stayed in the class, thinking that I would be eating with them, until I saw my friends from the other class go downstairs. Obviously, I followed them and we went to a restaurant to eat Lunch.

8. Activity Time!!! After lunch, we went to a teapot-making place to make a ZiSha pot. Mine did not turn out too well but I didn’t think it was too bad either. It was really fun making the pot and getting your hands dirty. = D It looks a little bit like these pictures:

9. Shopping!! After making the teapots, we went to Chong an City. We bought lots of stuff. some of the things which I bought were : :

10. Dinner!!! Yummy!!! After the visit to Chang an city, we went to another restaurant to eat dinner. Of course, the dinner was delicious as always. I especially liked the steamed egg there. The lights there was very pretty too. See: I even know our table number! (130) :P

11. Hotel Sweet Hotel… After dinner, we went back to our hotel to take a nice shower and sleep. The hotel beds were so comfortable that I slept almost instantly! I slept like a baby that night that I couldn’t wake up the next morning! My partner had to wake me up. He He…

12. Day 3: We woke up at 7:30 AM again. We went to eat breakfast and it was as delicious as ever. We boarded our bus and went to school. While we were on the bus, Uncle Richard told us about some facts about the places we passed by on our way to school.

13. School. We had English today and although their English was not as good as ours, their Chinese standard for Primary 5 is like our Chinese standard for Secondary 2! Today was our last day together with them and we ate lunch together! Their lunch was quite tasty and I liked their soup. ;P We then exchanged presents and I got 8! The day was short and we went back early. We did what we did every night and slept early because the next day we would be going to a new school.

14. Day 4: After we prepared and ate our breakfast, we went to our new school: Like the previous school, we were assigned 1 buddie each also. They were very welcoming and my buddie was very good at ping pong.

15. School… Like the previous school, we ate lunch at a restaurant on our first day. After lunch, we went to visit the three kingdom park( 三国城 ) but I did not take any pictures. Then, we went to the Xuejia Garden Landscape( 薛 家公园 ). It was beautiful and, fortunately, I took pictures!

16. Dinner!!! After the visit to Xuejia Garden, we went to eat dinner at a restaurant(as always).

17. Sleep & Rest We went back to our hotel and slept so that we would be energized for the next day as we would be going to Suzhou’s number 1 silk factory and the oriental pearl tower, which is said to be the 3 rd tallest building in the WORLD!

18. Day 5: We woke up at 7:30 AM, as usual, and ate breakfast. We then went on the bus and went to school. That day was the last day that we were going to school! Yippee! Before we exchanged presents, they performed 2 shows. The first show was called 《老鼠偷油》 I don’t know how to say it in English but direct translation is: The mice steals oil. The second show was: The Monkey King.

19. The Monkey King I especially liked “The Monkey King” because it was acted by one of our schoolmates and some of the kids from China.

20. Our show… After they performed, it was time for US to perform. We had to dance to the song : Jai Ho. After we danced, we had to teach them how to do the………… CHICKEN DANCE!!! I could not believe that they did not know how to do the chicken dance! I thought it was a very common dance! Anyways, I was also surprised that they actually LIKED the dance. Especially the part where you have to shake your bottoms. It was so embarrassing!

21. Exchange of presents. After our performance, we exchanged presents and I got 2! I also helped them do Henna. After we said our goodbye’s, guess where we went. Lunch! We ate our lunch and went to Suzhou to visit the Suzhou’s number 1 silk factory.

22. Silk factory While we were at the silk factory, they taught us how to know whether the silk is real or not. We had a short tour around the factory and a new tour guide helped us. She was called: Xiao mei. After the tour, she left us then we went to visit the Oriental Pearl T.V. Tower.

23. Oriental Pearl Tower When we visited the pearl tower, it was very cold and we had to queue up. The queue was very long but it moved quite fast. When we went in the lift, as it was moving upwards, our ears popped like when we were in the airplane. When we reached the highest point, it was so cold that even though we wore really thick jackets, we still felt really cold.

24. Dinner… We ate more dinner and our group ate the most! After dinner, we went back early so we would have time to pack our luggage as we would be switching to another hotel the next day.

25. Day 6: We woke up very late today because we did not have to go to school! Yippee! After we left our luggage in front of our room and checked-out, the bell boys carried our luggage into the bus and, after we ate breakfast, we boarded the bus and went to our destination: The Shanghai Aquarium!

26. The Aquarium I’ve been to the aquarium before so I didn’t really see anything special but I enjoyed watching the fishes and the sharks and all those other dangerous creatures.

27. Shanghai bookstore After the trip to the aquarium, we ate lunch and took the bus to the shanghai bookstore. I bought 2 books there and I really enjoyed reading them. I also bought some stationary. The stationary there are VERY cheap!!! I should’ve bought more but I didn’t.

28. Dinner After the trip to the Shanghai bookstore, we ate dinner and went to our new hotel. I personally think that the 2 nd hotel is nicer than the 1 st but they are both nice. We got our room keys and went to our room to bathe. This time, our room has a bath tub! Yay! Our teacher said that we could sleep and wake up later again as we did not have to go to school anymore! Double Yay!

29. Day 7:(last day!) We woke up at 8 AM that day and ate breakfast. The breakfast hall there was much prettier and brighter than the 1 st hotel’s breakfast hall. I even took a picture of the lights there. See: It’s pretty, right?

30. Shanghai science & technology center After we ate breakfast, we went to visit the Shanghai science & technology center and it was really interesting and fun. After a while me and a few of my friends could not find our teacher so we ran around trying to find our teacher. The 5 of us went to a place where they showed a movie and we rushed in to see if our teacher was there. We couldn’t find our teacher so we came out. Right after we came out, they closed the entrance and we found our teacher. We wanted to watch the movie but it was already closed. We didn’t get to watch the movie but at least we had fun!

31. Lunch After that cRaZy “adventure”, we ate lunch and got our luggage and headed off to the airport. So long China, Hello Singapore!!! I really enjoyed the 7 days while we were in china. I hope we would get the chance to go again soon!
