And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his

6 The Way It Is: What God demands, He supplies! The first law: He is God, we are not! The second law: God doesn’t need us, but we desperately need Him. The third law: What God demands, He supplies!

10 The Way It Is: What God demands, He supplies! II.New Testament Perspective A.God demanded perfection: We couldn’t meet the standard, so God sent His Son, who was perfection in our place. B.God demanded payment for sin: We couldn’t make the payment, so God sent His Son, who paid the price for our sin.

II.New Testament Perspective C.God demanded righteousness: All we had to offer were the filthy rags of self- righteousness, so God sent His Son and gave us His righteousness. D.God demanded a bloody sacrifice for sin: We couldn’t meet that demand, so God sent His Son to shed His blood in our place.

12 The Way It Is: What God demands, He supplies! III.How does this work practically?  God knew we were dead in sin, so He sent Christ to give us life.  God knew we were His enemies, so He sent Christ to make us friends.  God knew we had no hope, so He sent Christ to give us the blessed hope.

13 The Way It Is: What God demands, He supplies! III.How does this work practically?  God knew we were poor, so He sent Christ to make us rich.  God knew we were in bondage, so He sent Christ to make us free.  What He demanded from us, He gave to us.  What we needed, He provided.
