Perspective It’s okay to be angry. It’s okay to wish things were different. Bad things happen to everyone. Life isn’t always fair. That’s why we need each other.
It’s Unfair: Schools Some children do not have a school. Others have schools without heat, running water, or books. Instead of going to school, some children must work to help provide for their families.

It’s Unfair: Natural Disasters Tornados, hurricanes, floods, tsunamis, earthquakes... Communities have to find a way to rebuild after a natural disaster. Some students lose their schools, homes, friends, families, pets, and all of their possessions.
It’s Unfair: Illness Children all around the world have life-threatening illnesses. Mrs. Rex volunteers at Camp Quality Ohio, a summer camp for children with cancer. She sees children who: Feel tired most of the time Take medication up to 3 times a day Had surgeries to remove tumors Always or never feel hungry Have lost their hair And more... It’s Unfair: Hunger Children around the world struggle with hunger. Think about a time you were hungry. Imagine that feeling would not go away... When you are starving, every day is a battle.
It’s Unfair: Clean Water and Sanitation Over 1 billion people do not have easy access to clean water. Over 2.5 billion people do not have basic sanitation. When you don’t have clean water or a way to prevent the spread of germs, many people will get sick.
