The arguments for active travel are compelling from so many angles, but the reality is that walking and cycling levels in the UK are far behind those of our European counterparts. This session will be a whistle-stop metaphorical journey through the issues surrounding student travel choice, the motivators to succeed and the barriers to be overcome, and some shining case studies of innovative ideas to inspire action. A combined session delivered by Sustrans with a case study of a bike loan scheme delivered by the University of Worcester.
