2 Personality A stable pattern of behaviors. Forms: Combination of Temperament and Self (Selves) Temperament is our unique ways of interacting with the environment and is innate. Self is developed in a combination of your perception of yourself, how others perceive you, and how you/others think you should be.

3 Temperament Temperament can be see as reactions to novel (new) situations or stimuli. To make the difficulty of temperament easy the basic categories were developed. easy, difficult, slow to warm up Directly correlated with the Amygdale, brain structure found in the Limbic System

4 Emotional Intelligence To access our emotional abilities. Perhaps other’s emotional abilities as well. Step 1. Self-awareness, our ability to perceive and understand our emotions and why we are having them. Step 2. Self-regulation, our ability to control our emotions Step 3. Empathy, our ability to put ourselves in others shoes. Step 4. Motivation, how well we motive ourselves to work towards our goals and stay focused. Step 5. Social Skills, our ability to be socially successful, or to have positive relationships.

5 Emotional Intelligence Emotional Intelligence (EI) is found in the Prefrontal Lobe of the brain. How to develop Prefrontal Lobe hence EI. 6 Intelligence Quotient (IQ) Your ability to process cognitive thought and reason. Markers of intelligence are processing speed and prediction. Intelligence is genetic.
