Foreword As health care workers we see and hear confidential information every day. We are entrusted with patients’ health information solely to be of service to that patient. We will go over HIPPA, the Federal endorsement of all health care employees responsibility to patients. We’ll cover both benefits and consequences.

Why do we have HIPAA? Protects the patient’s rights to the confidentiality of their medical record and gives them more control of how info is shared
