1 The ladybug who lost her spots a fairy tale by students of 1S at Penrith PS, 2010

2 Once upon a time...... on a very windy day, a red ladybug was flying over a long river.

3 . :. : The ladybug was flying too fast! The wind blew all of her spots off...

4 x... and they fell down into the water.

5 Corey the crocodile was swimming in the river. He was looking for something to eat. “I have important stuff to do. I didn’t have time to eat breakfast or lunch!”

6 x Corey thought he saw some delicious tadpoles. “They look really yummy.”

7 He was soooo hungry! Corey ate and ate until he was full.

8 “I think something’s wrong!” Usually, tadpoles wriggled in Corey’s tummy, but these tadpoles didn’t move.

9 x The red ladybug wanted her spots back. She asked some friends to help.

10 x “How can we trick the crocodile to open his mouth?”

15 x Corey opened wide!

16 The red ladybug flew down the crocodile’s throat...... and found her missing spots.

17 x She glued them back on with some honey she found in a hollow tree.

18 x The other ladybugs escaped from the crocodile’s nostrils.

19 x “Thank you for helping me!” said the happy red ladybug.

20 x “Mmmmmm. Now I’m hungry again,” said Corey the crocodile.
