The God Who Heals 2 Kings 5: 1- 14; Luke 5:17 -26; John 9:1-41.
Pride goes before a fall? 2 Kings 5: Faith and forgiveness Luke 5: “It’s not his fault!” John 9:1-41
He was not happy with the messenger. He was not happy about the method. Pride goes before a fall? 2 Kings 5: Naaman’s pride almost cost him his healing!
Faith of the 4 friends Here we have an example of spiritual healing needed before physical. We don’t like to think physical sickness has its roots in sin: Greed can lead to obesity and so many physical problems; Worry and anxiety can cause physical symptoms; Anger and unforgiveness can also result in physical ailments. Faith and forgiveness Luke 5: Faith =belief+ trust+ action
Jesus said, “Is it easier to say ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Stand up and walk’? So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!” And immediately, as everyone watched, the man jumped up, picked up his mat, and went home praising God.
“It’s not his fault!” John 9:1-41 The disciples asked Jesus, "Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?” “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him. “
