McCurdy Ministries: McCurdy Ministries: making God’s difference in the Española Valley!
Española’s population is 87% Hispanic, 9% Anglo and 3% Native American
According to the updated 2010 U.S. Census 26% of Española’s population lives under the Federal Poverty Line
82% of McCurdy Charter School students participate in the Free & Reduced Lunch Program
25% of those under 25 in Española have not graduated from high school or earned a GED
Rio Arriba County has the highest death by heroin overdose rate in the United States
McCurdy Ministries McCurdy Ministries has been called to make God’s difference in this setting for 102 years!
Our primary mission is to surround the students and families of McCurdy Charter School with ministry in the name of Jesus Christ to help them succeed in school and in life.
Our secondary mission is to find ways to meet community needs in the name of Jesus Christ to make our community a healthier, safer environment for life.

McCurdy Ministries is the landlord for McCurdy Charter School and is preparing to construct a multi-million dollar building on our campus so McCurdy Charter School will meet state standards for public education buildings.
McCurdy Ministries is also the vendor for the charter school Breakfast and Lunch program and financially supports this program so that we there won’t be hungry children on our campus.
During the fall of 2014 McCurdy Ministries will launch
a mid-week, meal, worship, fun, faith activities and classes for children, youth and adults.
so we can reach more children in this community where 26% of the population lives under the federal poverty line.
