3 WHAT IS IT? It is a model of human personality which is principally used as a typology of nine interconnected personality types.

4 LEARNING OUTCOMES 1.Professional Staff members will be able to recognize which Personality Type they are within the Enneagram. 2.Professional Staff members will be able to recognize which Personality Types their co-workers are. 3.Professional Staff members will be able to explain how their Personality Type can help or hinder them from relating to other co-workers. 4.Professional Staff members will identify how they can help their co-workers be successful by recognizing their co-workers personality type. 5.Professional Staff members will be able to explain which personality type they reach for when they are at their best and which personality type they lean towards when they are stressed or pressured.

19 THE CENTERS Each Center consists of three personality types that have in common the assets and liabilities of that Center. Instinctive (gut) Feeling (heart) Thinking (head)

20 DOMINANT EMOTION Each type has a particular way of coping with the dominant emotion of its Center. Anger or rage Shame Anxiety In the Instinctive Center, Eights act out their anger and instinctual energies.

21 THE WING No one is a pure personality type: everyone is a unique mixture of his or her basic type and usually one of the two types adjacent to it on the circumference of the Enneagram. Your basic type dominates your overall personality, while the wing complements it and adds important, sometimes contradictory, elements to your total personality.

What is one thing you could practice with yourself and others to develop healthier relationships?
