3 Interesting Facts  4. Argon is the third most abundant gas in the Earth’s atmosphere.  5. It is what is put inside of light bulbs to keep oxygen from catching the electricity on fire.  6. Argon is an absolute snob. It hates the other elements so much that it can be described as ‘inert.’ In other words, it doesn’t really form compounds.  7. It does absolutely nothing.
