What is the greenhouse effect?  The greenhouse effect is the rise in temperature that the Earth experiences because certain gases in the atmosphere (water vapor, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and methane, for example) trap energy from the sun. Without these gases, heat would escape back into space and Earth’s average temperature would be much more colder.

How is it formed??  Solar radiation interacts with the surface of the earth in several ways. Some portion of this energy is reflected back into space by the earth's atmosphere, another portion is dispersed and scattered by the molecules in the atmosphere and a large portion penetrates through the earth's atmosphere to reach the surface of the earth. The radiation reaching the earth's surface is largely absorbed resulting in surface warming.  greenhouse/ greenhouse/

Constitution of the greenhouse effect

How does it act?

How does it act (2nd)??

What are the consequences of the greenhouse effect??  In last hundred years, the greenhouse effect has caused two important phenomena:  A) Global Warming  B)Sea level Rise

What are the consequences of the greenhouse effect??  A) Without the greenhouse effect, the Earth would not be warm enough for humans to live, but if the greenhouse effect becomes stronger, it could make the Earth warmer than usual- global warming. Even a little extra warming may cause problems with our healthy and with animals and plants’ health too.

What are the consequences of the greenhouse effect??  B) Warmer temperature causes the sea level rise due to the rise of the seawater temperature, and water from melting glaciers and the ice sheets of Greenland and the Antarctica would also add water to the ocean.
