© SIMPLE LTD Teachers can easily find appropriate resources which enhance learning in their lessons. They help children to develop their ICT skills in a meaningful way throughout other curriculum areas. For example, over a series of lessons, children in Year 3 used the 'Healthy Teeth' app to support work in Science (Teeth and Healthy Eating), Literacy (Instruction Writing) and ICT (Combining text and images). Purple Mash provides teachers with perfect cross-curricular tools and creative activities which children love! Mark Warner, The Downs CE Primary School, Kent One of the reasons Purple Mash stand out from a number of web based options is the care that 2Simple take to ensure everything is relevant to current classroom topics and ideas. The projects and tools included are totally cross curricular and many have an identified target audience that means finding activities that link to your lessons is a straightforward process. Bev Evans, Pembroke Dock CP School, Pembrokeshire LET’S HEAR FROM THE TEACHERS For teachers to deliver exceptional classes they need to have confidence in the tools they’re using. Actively gathering feedback is part of our ‘continuous innovation’ process that ensures Purple Mash is constantly evolving to meet the changing, and diverse, needs of teachers around the world.
© SIMPLE LTD Hillside Primary School had only been using Purple Mash for a few months when they were inspected by OFSTED. Year 1 had been learning the principles of ‘Reviewing and Improving’ by using 2DIY 3D to build their own games. Their teacher demonstrated this lesson plan format to the OFSTED inspector. The children were actively engaged throughout the whole class, and demonstrated a critical awareness of their own work. OFSTED OUTSTANDING Every teacher in the UK aspires to achieve the OFSTED Outstanding mark. It is the highest educational accolade. The whole lesson was observed by an inspector and I was delighted when he judged it as being “Outstanding”. Hillside Primary School, 2013
© SIMPLE LTD Alex- “Purple Mash is brilliant as all the programs allow you to use your imagination. If you get stuck you can use the online videos to help you just by clicking on the computer icon in the right hand corner.” Bethan- “I think Purple Mash is fantastic as I am able to continue with my work that I have started at school, at home with my parents. With Purple Mash, anything we do is saved online and we can access it anywhere.” Lewis- “As well as the creative tools, Purple Mash also has a games section. The maths games help to reinforce my learning of numbers, patterns, fractions and much more.” LET’S HEAR FROM THE KIDS Before you can teach a child anything you have to engage them. In a world moving at ever increasing speed, holding anyone's attention for more than a minute can be challenging. By integrating technology and approaching learning creatively Purple Mash ensures your entire class is focused throughout.
© SIMPLE LTD A PURPLE MASH CHAMPION Stephanie Lear is a teacher the USA. Her school is twinned with a school in Wales. This is how she first heard about Purple Mash. In 2011 she started using it with her class. Here’s what she has to say. *You’ll need to be connected to the internet to watch this video. If the video won’t play you can see it here:

© SIMPLE LTD Two test groups of University physics students were taught using different methods The first received lecture based teaching from a highly regarded Professor The second were taught using interactive learner-engagement methods administered by a junior lecturer The interactive method had almost no lecturing, relying instead on discussions, in-class quizzes, demonstrations, and Q&A sessions. At the end of the term the two groups sat their standard assessements They found ‘increased student attendance, higher engagement, and more than twice the learning’ in the group taught using interactive learner- engagement methods. Wieman et al, 2011, Science Magazine, THE SCIENCE OF ENGAGEMENT In 2011 Nobel Prize winner Carl Wieman set out to discover what effect interactive learning and technology could have in the classroom. His findings were remarkable.
© SIMPLE LTD AN AMERICAN APPRAISAL “What resonates is the user interface for preK, kindergarten, and primary grades— getting early-elementary kids into digital literacy.” FirstLine Schools, New Orleans “There’s no doubt the product is rich and better than anything I’ve seen in a long time in terms of creativity and student development of a work product.” Calcasieu Schools, LA “You’ve nailed participatory learning.” Los Angeles USD In 2013 we commissioned an independent panel made up of 6 senior academic officials to give an objective review of Purple Mash, and its suitability for the US market.
