Classroom performance and teacher observation should be used for atypical correlation between the NWEA RIT scores and DIBELS assessment results. *QMA is a pilot and should be used with discretion. A Map of Interventions 2009

10 To a Flowchart by 2013 At Benchmark but <98% Accuracy At Benchmark and 98% Accuracy and Correct Responses with NWEA Reading at <85%ile Below Benchmark with or without 98% Accuracy Assign to Study Island Reading 2- 3x/week in addition to core instruction time in addition to core instruction time Screen with MH Diagnostic Phonics and Decoding (MHPD) Boxes 9-10 If MHPD is < 80% in more than two skills areas, then administer MHPD Boxes 4- 8, and… Pull as formative assessments dictate based on common weekly assessments; potential resources include Lessons in Literacy, Lexia, and Study Island Reading any reports indicate; administer PM probes for ORF when school psychologist is not able to do so to students not meeting the ORF benchmark (see separate rotation schedule for progress monitoring) Second Assessment Intervention or Enrichment If MHPD has < 2 skill deficits at < 80%, then address individually in CORE; use Reading A-Z fluency/comprehension materials at level based on Lexile conversions and fluency exercises 2- 3x/week occur daily in core. Assign to Study Island Reading or Lexia as appropriate 1-2x per week Revised 9/23/2014 ELL and intervention assistants meet with grade level LA teacher biweekly on an available day. …if MHPD Boxes 4-8 is 5 skill areas, progress monitor biweekly where needed during core and SRT with additional practice using Lexia Reading (Most likely require a Tier III intervention with additional practice of the above.) …if MHPD is > 80% accurate in two or more skill areas, then provide direct instruction in Sonday II and Lexia 1-2x per week Assign to Study Island 1-2 x per week and continue to work on informational text working at skills in the next RIT range above the majority of the group At Benchmark and 98% Accuracy and Correct Responses with NWEA Reading at >85%ile Passed ISTEP ELA Did Not ISTEP ELA

11 To a Flowchart by 2013 Screener completed in greater than 90 seconds with 90% accuracy Screener completed in less than 90 seconds with 90% accuracy three out of four consecutive trials Screener completed in less than 90 seconds with less than 90% accuracy Assign to Ascend 2x/week for full SRT period in addition to core instruction time as dictated by pretest results of individual topics and add Marcy Cook tiles and Advanced Performance Task as needed and workings towards mastery of 11’s and 12’s in 5 th grade and 15’s and 25’s in 6 th grade as well as simple fraction, decimal, and percent equivalency Screen with 2, 5, 10 multiplication fact tests Pull as formative assessments dictate based on common weekly assessments; potential resources include enVision interventions and ________ as any reports indicate. Second Assessment Intervention or Enrichment If facts test is less than 90% accurate in 90 seconds Revised 9/23/2014 If facts test is greater than 90% accurate in 90 seconds Half period of SRT on Ascend Math and half working on math facts of 2, 5, and 10 practice with 2, 5, 10 War or other math games and assign Ascend Math Flashcards 3x per week as homework or during recess study room until achieving required level Screen with 3, 6, 9 multiplication fact tests If facts test is less than 90% accurate in 90 seconds Half period of SRT on Ascend Math and half working on math facts of 3, 6, and 9 practice with 3, 6, 9 War or other math games and assign Ascend Math Flashcards 3x per week as homework or during recess study room until achieving required level If facts test is greater than 90% accurate in 90 seconds Screen with 4, 7, 8 multiplication fact tests If facts test is less than 90% accurate in seconds Half period of SRT on Ascend Math and half working on math facts of 3, 6, and 9 practice with 4, 7, 8 War or other math games and assign Ascend Math Flashcards 3x per week as homework or during recess study room until achieving required level If facts test is greater than 90% accurate in 90 seconds Continue to give screener in various forms until benchmark is achieved three out of four trials
