82 square miles located in Southeastern Pennsylvania 10 elementary, 2 middle and 3 high schools 11,900 students 1500 staff Ranked 21st out of 500 Districts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (based on student performance on the state PSSA exam in the fall of 2011).
School Board Goal and renewed for : Work purposefully toward enhancing the mental, social, emotional, and physical health of staff and students in order to achieve higher student academic achievement, increased staff satisfaction, a positive school climate, greater efficiency, and the development of a school culture that promotes and enhances student growth. Purpose: This goal is to create mechanisms across the district that will promote wellness. Vision Plank – Increase student achievement, increase professional development opportunities staff, and become more fiscally responsible. Action Items A.
