5 8 April 20045 System Options There are 12 system options from which to choose

6 8 April 20046 Saving an Option Change Whenever any option change is made it must be saved or it is lost when the option window is closed –A pop-up window appears when an option’s status is changed –Click the Save Now button to save the change

7 8 April 20047 Sites Mode Sites Mode allows you to manage multiple sites at the same time –Up to 255 max Sites Mode operation is described in detail in its own training module

14 8 April 200414 Daylight Savings Time Adjustment Allows automatic Daylight Savings Time adjustments at controllers (per U.S. standards only) 1 st Sunday in April Last Sunday in October

15 8 April 200415 Enable Daylight Savings Time Adjustments Click the Daylight Savings check box to allow automatic Daylight Savings Time adjustment (this is the default value)

16 8 April 200416 Enable Global Unlock Input Click the Global Unlock check box to allow all doors to be unlocked by activating a specific input on the master controller

17 8 April 200417 Enable Global Secure Time Enter a Global Secure time, a specific time at which all doors manually unlocked doors will automatically be locked

18 8 April 200418 Local Anti-passback Anti-passback prevents someone from accessing a secure door and then passing his/her card back to someone else to use This is done by implementing rules on how often cards can be presented to readers Telephone Entry is described in detail in its own training module

19 8 April 200419 Enable Local Anti-passback Click the APB ON check box to enable anti-passback

20 8 April 200420 Door Type Allows doors to be designated as either Elevator doors or Gates –Changes the icon for these doors displayed in the Doors program –Makes cardholder tracking and report reading easier by adding elevator or gate designators when identifying these doors in reports Enabling door type allows the feature to be used, but the actual door type assignment occurs in the Setup > Doors menu screen

25 8 April 200425 Rollcall/Tracking Enables features for locating users in secured areas –Rollcall identifies who has entered secured areas –Track identifies the path taken by a specific person

27 8 April 200427 Card+PIN (P-650) Enables the P-650 Pyramid Associates Reader and Keypad Card+PIN feature, allowing access by card presentation and PIN entry

28 8 April 200428 Enable Card+PIN (P-650) Click the Card+PIN (P-650) ON check box to enable the Card+PIN feature

29 8 April 200429 Card+PIN (P-650) Limitations The Card+PIN (P-650) feature has certain limitations that you must acknowledge by clicking on the OK button before Card+PIN (P-650) becomes active

30 8 April 200430 Alarm Control Alarm Control enables access control system integration with NetworX NX-8E alarm panels Alarm Control is described in detail in its own training module

31 8 April 200431 Enable Alarm Control Click the Alarm Control ON check box to enable Alarm Control

32 8 April 200432 Temp Cards The Temp Cards feature allows you to assign cards that are active and valid for finite periods of time (days, weeks, months) and then automatically expire Temp Cards is described in detail in its own training module

34 8 April 200434 Temp Cards Warning The Temp Cards feature reduces the total number of cardholders the system can have – you must acknowledge by clicking on the OK button before Temp Cards becomes active

35 8 April 200435 Dual Verification The Dual Verification feature allows you to require one or more credentials to enter a secure area Dual Verification is described in detail in its own training module

36 8 April 200436 Enable Dual Verification Click the Dual Verification ON check box to enable the Dual Verification feature

37 8 April 200437 Dual Verification Warning Certain minimum requirements must be met in order for the Dual Verification feature to function properly. A warning appears with an alert to the requirements – you must acknowledge this by clicking on the Save Now button before Dual Verification becomes active

38 8 April 200438 Excessive PIN Attempts Allows a user 6 attempts to correctly present the credentials required for entry before being locked out for a specified amount of time Excessive PIN Attempts is described in detail in the Dual Verification training module

39 8 April 200439 Enable Excessive PIN Attempts Click the Excessive PIN Attempts ON check box to enable the Excessive PIN Attempts feature Enter the Lock Out Time (in seconds) the reader should be locked out following 6 failed attempts to enter correct credentials
