30 An International Workshop On Seismic Retrofitting of Schools I.R. of IRAN 16 May 2011 Page 30 Part 3 The population of Iran has increased dramatically in the past decades, so providing the educational places is one of the main priorities of State Organization of School Renovation the passing the demolish-reconstruction and retrofitting of the unsafe school buildings made an opportunity for State Organization of School Renovation For this purpose was prepared in this organization with the title of design of educational places (Bulletin 232). This bulleting contains all the issues in designing the framework of school buildings New Approach in Construction of Schools Architecture

37 An International Workshop On Seismic Retrofitting of Schools I.R. of IRAN 16 May 2011 Page 37 Part 3 The evaluation of the technical office of the organization showed, although with the cheap energy, investment in the reduction in energy consumption will be economical So from the initiation of the project social attention was given to this issue. School’s engine rooms were equipped with the intelligent systems and the layers of the windows’ glassing were doubled and also the walls were insulated. From the start of the objective subsidies plan and the releasing prices the methods for reduction in energy consumption were accelerated. New Approch in Construction of Schools Facility

39 An International Workshop On Seismic Retrofitting of Schools I.R. of IRAN 16 May 2011 Page 39 Part 3 New Approach in Construction of Schools Educational Equipment Schools are the places where students learn the techniques of life besides the new knowledge. Getting to know these techniques is very important in high school education This goal is not usually reached in the classroom space; since the activity options of each student is very limited in this space There are numerous students who have learned these techniques in workshops and laboratories. The importance of this issue is that State Organization of School Renovation, has dedicated 12% of its budget to educational equipment of schools.

It can be said that this organization does not give any schools to ministry of education without prayer room. Moreover, there are more than 2600 sport spaces constructed by this organization
