22 Role of a Trustee A trustee ensures your wealth is managed and distributed in accordance with the wishes outlined in your trust. The trustee should maintain a neutral position and balance the interests of current and future beneficiaries. The trustee must avoid conflicts of interest and self-dealing. The trustee must keep beneficiaries informed of trust activity.
