Jeremiah for Today Jesus is our king of David (Jer. 30:9; Lk. 1:30-33; Ac. 2:30) Jeremiah 30:9 But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
Jesus is our king of David Luke 1: And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Jesus is our king of David Acts 2: Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us unto this day. 30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
Jeremiah for Today Some do not want Jesus to rule over them (Jer. 30:9; Lk. 19:14) Jeremiah 30:9 But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them. Luke 19:14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

Jeremiah for Today God always judges fairly (Jer. 30:11; Rom. 2:1,11) Jeremiah 30:11 For I am with thee, saith the Lord, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.
God always judges fairly Romans 2:6 & 11 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
Jeremiah for Today We belong to God (Jer. 30:22; 31:33; 2 Cor. 4:16-18)
We belong to God Jeremiah 30:22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
We belong to God 2 Corinthians 4: For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Jeremiah for Today God rewards the work of the faithful (Jer. 31:18; Heb. 6:10)
God rewards the work of the faithful Jeremiah 31:18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the Lord my God.
God rewards the work of the faithful Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Jeremiah for Today We must repented with godly sorrow (Jer. 31:19; 2 Cor. 7:9-10)
We must repented with godly sorrow Jeremiah 31:19 Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.
We must repented with godly sorrow 2 Corinthians 7: Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world works death.
Jeremiah for Today We must take personal responsibility for our sins (Jer. 31:29; Gal. 6:7-8)
We must take personal responsibility for our sins Jeremiah 31:29 In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge.
We must take personal responsibility for our sins Galatians 6:7-8 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Jeremiah for Today The New Testament is the new covenant promised by Jeremiah (Jer. 31:31; Heb. 8:8-12)
New Testament is the new covenant promised by Jeremiah Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
New Testament is the new covenant promised by Jeremiah Hebrews 8:8-9 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Jeremiah for Today All will know God through teaching (Jer. 31:34; Jn. 6:44-45)
All will know God through teaching Jeremiah 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Jeremiah for Today People can imprison God’s servants, but God’s word is not bound (Jer. 32:2; 2 Tim. 2:9) Jeremiah 32:2 For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house. 2 Timothy 2:9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
Jeremiah for Today Pray to God when you do not fully understand his will for you (Jer. 32:24-25; Phil. 4:6-7) Jeremiah 32: Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it. 25 And thou hast said unto me, O Lord God, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
Jeremiah for Today Pray to God when you do not fully understand his will for you (Jer. 32:24-25; Phil. 4:6-7) Philippians 4:6-7 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Jeremiah for Today There is nothing too hard for God (Jer. 32:17; Mt. 19:26) Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Jeremiah for Today Latter generations continue in their fathers’ sins (Jer. 32:18; Mt. 23:32-36) Jeremiah 32:18 You show loving kindness unto thousands, and recompenses the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, is his name, Matthew 23:34,36 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
Jeremiah for Today We will be judged according to our ways (Jer. 32:19; Jn. 5:29) Jeremiah 32:19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: John 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Jeremiah for Today God desires wholehearted and united service (Jer. 32:38-39; Jn. 17:21) Jeremiah 32: And they shall be my people, and I will be their God: 39 And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
