5 INTRODUCTION OUR DAILY LIFE EXPERIENCES WITH THE ELECTRICITY ARE GENERALLY RELATED WITH THE USE OF ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES. ELECTRICITY IS IN FACT FLOW OF CHARGES. CHARGES ARE OF TWO TYPES:- POSITIVE CHARGE NEGATIVE CHARGE ELECTRIC CIRCUIT IS CLOSED AND CONTINUOUS PATH OF ELECTRIC CURRENT. ITS DIFFERENTS COMPONENTS AREPLUG KEY,CELL/BATTERY.BULB,ETC.

TEACHER WILL EXPLAIN THAT THE APPLIANCES WHICH USE MAINS ELECTRICITY SUPPLY REQUIRE A PLUG THAT FITS INTO WALL SOCKET. THE MAIN ELECTRICITY IS VERY POWERFUL AND DANGEROUS. IT COULD KILL YOU. WARNING NEVER LET WATER NEAR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES NEVER POKE ANY THING INTO THE MAIN SOCKET

11 PRESENTATION/TRANSACTION STRATEGY BATTERIES ARE LESS POWERFUL AND THEREFORE SAFER THAN MAINS.SO APPLIANCES THAT USE BATTERY ARE SMALLER AND LESS POWERFUL. BATTERIES HAVE A POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE TERMINAL. ELECTRICITY CAN NOT FLOW WITHOUT 1 A POWER SUPPLY 2 A CLOSED CIRCUIT. ELECTRICITY FLOWS AROUND A CIRCUIT IN ONE DIRECTION ONLY.

12 SIMPLE CIRCUIT IT HAS:- A BATTERY A BULB WIRE CONNECTING ALL UP. THERE CAN BE A CURRENT IF THE CIRCUIT IS CONNECTED WITH A MATERIAL THAT CONDUCTS ELECTRICITY.

13 GROUP TASK CLASS IS DEVIDED INTO FOUR GROUPS GROUP I WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU REMOVE BATTERY FROM CIRCUIT? A) BULB STAYS ON B) BULB GETS BRIGHTER C) BULB GOES OFF WHAT IS THE USE OF BULB IN AN ELECTRIC CIRCUIT?(WHETHER CIRCUIT IS CORRECTTLY CONNECTED OR NOT)
