12 Building a scientific network to strengthen innovation Creation of WoFIN (June 2010) – World Food Innovation Network, initiated by F²C Innovation Based on global strategic capabilities map – Biannual meetings: June 2010 in Paris October 2010 in Paris April 2011 in Turin November 2011 in Rennes April 2012 in Norwich (UK) October 2012 in Ste Hyacinthe (Canada) March 2013 in Dijon – A network of 11 organisations from 7 countries – 9 strategic themes identified for development of collaborations and international innovation projects

16 Impact for F2C Innovation: being in the WoFIN: One European project with members of 3 WoFIN partners granted in 2011 One European project with 4 WoFIN partners submitted in 2011 but not granted One Interreg project with members of 2 WoFIN partners granted in 2012 Presence of members of WoFIN partners on international congresses … a lot more to come!

17 The Taste-Nutrition-Health International Congress A showcase for Vitagora ® ’s international network In 2013, “Fatty acids and proteins: nutrients for brain and body” 600 participants (companies, researchers, health professionals) 25 nationalities and 20% international participants 50 international experts in food and nutrition sciences (scientific conferences, round table debates, practical workshops…) 300 business meetings including 30% that were transnational WoFIN meeting, MARCH 18 th in DIJON

18 In a nutshell: The WoFIN is about: 11 leading Food and Agriculture innovation clusters willing to create partnerships opportunities between their scientific and industrial members to enhance their international competitiveness Innovation with strong scientific added value driving the development of our members internationally. Trust, diversity, entrepreneurship & time are key!
