11 $1.6M Lumina Foundation Grant over four years Lumina Foundations overarching goal: by 2025 - 60% Americans have high-quality 2 or 4 year degrees or credentials * Arizona will attempt to redesign the states higher education system in order to: expand capacity; serve more students at lower cost; and achieve completion and degree goals* Initiative will engage school districts, colleges and universities and the Arizona business community *[Source: MOA PROPOSAL-RESPONSE TO CHALLENGES]

12 In addition to the statewide transfer system, community colleges and universities are developing individual partnerships to complement the transfer system and facilitate the state goal of increased degree completion.
