Tsunami would be propagate on shelf, after the direction was changed by characteristic topography between Phuket and north Sumatra.
By the effect of topography, Tsunami height around Khao Lak would be come to higher than other coast.

Phi Phi Island has sandbar at central part.
Ground Elevation of sandbar is very low(a few meter) and narrow.
North side have sand beach and very shallow bay.
South side have Pier, and water depth of south side is deeper than north side.
