3 Story and pictures by Gail Gibbons Summary: This is a story about how plants make seeds, the different kinds of seeds, parts of a flower, pollination, how seeds are scattered, parts of a seeds, and how seeds grow into plants. There is also a plant project that students can do.

5 Gail Gibbons was born in Oak Park, Illinois, in When she was a child, she made books and bound them with yarn to hold the pages together. Before she started writing books, she did artwork for television shows. Gail Gibbons has written and illustrated over 70 books! Now she lives with her husband and lots of wild animals in Corinth, Vermont. "Even as a child, I was always putting books together." "I've always loved drawing and painting."
