How Do We Read the Bible? Always ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit! The Bible is made up of words – our primary form of communication BUT: Words can be misinterpreted COMMON MEANING salvage – to rescue or to save IN THE PHILIPPINES salvage – to kill or assassinate He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction - 2 Peter 3:16

Evangelizing with WordsEvangelizing with Words Introduce our faith to others Remind others (and ourselves) of our faith Evangelizing with words is necessary – we must proclaim God’s name God didn’t give us the gift of speech for nothing
Another Necessary Way to Evangelize Evangelizing through action We must practice the truths that we’ve proclaimed! Those who listen to us and observe us must be able to see in our actions what they hear from our lips, and so give glory to God! - Pope Francis
