25 Written feedback - E9 reports
‘Reports and Marks’ Constructive and supportive comments. Examples justify comments especially specific areas of concern. Complete sentences that are clear and straightforward. Comments linked to assessment criteria Use Word or template - Naming convention centre number_unit_series e.g _5PE02_1306 - Spell check / copy and paste - Keep on PC until October 2014 Submit to Edexcel gateway This is a very important document to Pearson and Centres. It justifies why the centre’s marking is not in line with national standards, and therefore why marking adjustments should take place. One report per unit Although adjustment is only triggered when one candidate is +/-6, if the sample seen still have mark changes within +/-5 you must still comment on these so that centres can realign their marking standard. Please refer to template of E9 report that we’ll or have ed you. There is no spell check function on EG therefore you should always write your report in a word document/template, spell check and then copy and paste it into EG. Only submit to Edexcel Gateway when you are absolutely sure it is fit for purpose. Once you hit submit only your TL can amend the report. And any changes should be ed to them so they can check and upload a new report for you. Never ever say the marking is accurate unless you agree centre marks exactly for all criteria for all candidates. Otherwise say the marking was line with national standards for in tolerance centres. You must keep a copy of your report on your home PC until 1St April 2012 in case there are any issues. GCSE Physical Education Standardisation Meeting l November/December 2013

26 Submitting E9 reports Please refer to Guidance for Moderation for specific information 1. Enter the relevant search criteria. To access the report click ‘Outstanding’ in the report status column. As a TL click ‘Submitted’ in the report status column to approve a moderator’s report. 3. You will be presented with a list of generic questions which will populate the centre’s report with statements based on your answers. 4. Below the generic questions will be a free text box. Moderators should write the report using MS word & then copy and paste it into the text box online. Always ensure you click ‘Submit’ before leaving the site.
