My favorite Famous American is Christopher Columbus because he was curious enough to sail across the ocean and find America.

3. Benjamin Franklin
Ben Franklin was a printer who liked to invent things. He helped build the new country.
My favorite Famous American is Benjamin Franklin because he invented so many of the things we use in daily life: fireplace, glasses, fire station, library, stove and so much more.

4. George Washington
George Washington is the Father of our Country. George Washington was the first President.
My favorite Famous American is George Washington because he was brave enough to fight for our country and become it’s first President.

5. Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President. Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves.
My favorite Famous American is Abraham Lincoln because he freed the slaves and began the foundation of goodness in our country.

6. George Washington Carver
George Washington Carver was a scientist. He discovered how to make peanut butter.
My favorite Famous American is George Washington Carver because he made 300 products out of peanuts such as: paper, cardboard, face cream, sauces, dyes and flour. He made products out of peanuts because farmers in that time were growing cotton which was eaten by millions of bugs called boll weevils, came and ate the crop. George told the farmers to plant peanuts because weevils won't hurt them and peanuts help the soil.

7. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream. He wanted all Americans to be equal.
My favorite Famous American is Martin Luther King, Jr. because his dream is a reality.
