1 Lean On Me 1940s: WWII War Effort on the Home Front Kaylee Trotter & Hayley Reed U.S. History/Kawasaki Decades Project

2 Sometimes, in our life, we all have pain, we all have sorrow. June 1942 Gas demonstration: Reconditioning gas masks for civilian defense use at the gas mask factory Edgewood Arsenal, Maryland.

3 But, if we are wise. We know that theres always tomorrow. 1942: Uncle Sam pointing through the stripes of the American Flag

4 Lean on me, when your not strong, and Ill be your friend, Ill help you carry on. June 4, 1943: The public school children of the South- Central District of Chicago purchased $263,148.83 worth of war bonds and stamps.

5 For, it wont be long. Til Im gonna need somebody to lean on. January 07 Stanton Trotter –Patrolling in Afghanistan during his 3 rd tour of duty fighting for our freedom –Currently serving as an Army Chaplain over in Afghanistan
