1 Defining worship—An Act of Reverence
John 4: Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.” 21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.

2 Defining worship—An Act of Reverence
John 4: But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” PROSKUNEŌ (προσκυνέω), to make obeisance, do reverence to (from pros, towards, and kuneō, to kiss), is the most frequent word rendered to worship. It is used of an act of homage or reverence, Vines

7 The Importance of preaching IS seen In The Gifts Christ gave to the church Ephesians 4
Ephesians 4:7-8, 11 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.” 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teacher A Gospelizer, A Bringer of Good Tidings

8 The Relationship between worship and preaching the word
Romans 10: But how are they to call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

9 The Relationship between worship and preaching the word
(ἀκουω) means “to hear.” Akoē (Ἀκοη), the noun means “the thing heard.” The word “hearing” is akoē (ἀκοη), the same word translated “report” (A.V.). Paul says, “So then, faith is out of the source of that which is heard.” It is the publication of the gospel which produces belief in it (Alford). Romans 10: But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
