What to do if your particular records are not yet cataloged If you need to get access to church or Jewish records that are not yet available, e-mail me, and I will catalog them for you: Shon Edwards, +1 (801) 240-4548, EdwardsSR@familysearch.org. This is mainly true of Slovak records at this time. EdwardsSR@familysearch.org EdwardsSR@familysearch.org

Check first Check the Family History Library Catalog first to see if your locality is in it. If its not, feel free to e-mail me. The catalog is at www.familysearch.org. Click on Library, then Library Catalog and do a Place Search. www.familysearch.org

Bratislava 7 Film Operator Reports (ORs)

Slovak Films All Slovak films need to be carefully analyzed. Certain record types do not appear on the Operator Reports, which catalogers catalog from, specifically conversions (konvertiti) and confirmations (birmovaní). This slows down the record availability process considerably. However, projects are now completed except Banská Bystrica (last half) and Bratislava (all).

(cont.) Using a new system called ORBIT, which we enter records into, we get them out to the public in a quicker fashion, although they are less detailed, initially. They are later imported into OLIB (software for the Family History Library Catalog)
