3. 1 John 4:1... Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

4. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has had a very turbulent history. It is rooted in the visions of the prophet Joseph Smith, Jr. Beginning in 1820; he supposedly was visited by an angel. God informed him that all existing churches were in error, and that the true gospel was yet to be restored. Later, the angel Moroni led him to discover a set of golden plates that were buried in a hill called Cumorah near Manchester, NY. These plates, or tablets, were supposedly written by an ancient prophet and recorded the history of the early inhabitants of America. "According to Mormons, America was originally settled by the Jaredites, one of the groups dispersed during the confusion of tongues at the Tower of Babel; the American Indians were direct descendants of the Hebrews who came from Jerusalem in 600 B.C.

5. The Mormons believe that As man is, God once was, and as God is, man may become. In other words, God was once a man and man will become God. This is what they believe according to their books, they also believe that Adam at one point was God. The Mormons teach that God has a body of flesh and bone as tangible as mans.

6. John 4:24… 24God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. Luke 24:38, 39 Psalm 90:2 Isaiah 37:26 Romans 11:36 1 John 1:5 Hebrews 6:18 Was Adam God?

7. According to Mormon doctrine, Jesus is the older brother of Satan. Jesus is also our older brother who points to The Way, but is not The Way. The Mormons deny the teachings of the virgin birth as recorded by Luke. In fact, Brigham Young states: When the Virgin Mary conceived the child Jesus, the Father had begotten him in his own likeness. He was not begotten by the Holy Ghost. Again, Young writes:... Jesus, our elder brother, was begotten in the flesh by the same character that was in the Garden of Eden, and who is our Father in Heaven.

8. I will not prove to you again who Jesus really is. The only thing that I want to remind you of, is what the Bible has to say about Him. Matthew 1:18… 18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Luke 2:21… 21And when eight days were completed for the circumcision of the Child, His name was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb. Matthew 1:23… 23Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, God with us.

9. Jesus Christ was a polygamist; Mary and Martha, the sisters of Lazarus, were his plural wives, and Mary Magdalene was another (quoted by Ann Eliza Young, Wife No. 19, Chapter XXXV). 5 Wives and 33 children. Does God allow that?

10. Hebrews 4:14… 15For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 13:4... 4Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge. Genesis 2:24... Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

11. Mormon doctrine the Doctrine wrote Mormon doctrine concerning the Holy Spirit is very confusing. While the Doctrine & Covenants refers to the Third Person of the Godhead as a personage (130:22), one of Mormonisms apostles wrote this: a divine other words The Holy Spirit is in a class with magnetism or electricity. He is a divine fluid, composed of material atoms or particles, or in other words an impersonal energy or cosmic force through which God acts (Parley Pratt, Key to Science of Theology, 1855 edition, p. 29, emphasis added).

12. I dont know which denomination is crazier, this one, or the ones that we studied a couple of weeks ago! You choose! Do we need to be taught who the Holy Spirit is again? Well, maybe! We need to be sure about whom we are worshiping. The Holy Spirit is not a fluid, material, particles of atoms, nor a cosmic force. The Holy Spirit is Divine with many attributes that only God has. He can talk. Acts 13:2... He can forbid. Acts 16:6... He can be grieved. Ephesians 4:30. He can be quenched. 1 Thessalonians 5:19 He can inspire man. 2 Peter 1:21

13. One of these new prophets wrote something that said: The Book of Mormon is the word of God and also, the books of Doctrine and Covenants are on par with the Bible. They cannot be separated. (Articles of Faith, Art. 8)

14. Does the Bible need another book? Mormons respect the authority of the Bible "as far as is translated correctly."

15. Listen to what one of the Mormon prophets said: The Mormon apostle Orson Pratt said, "What shall we say then, concerning the Bible being a sufficient guide? Can we rely upon it in its present corrupted state, as being a faithful record of God's word? We all know that but a few inspired writings have descended to our times... Who knows that even one verse of the whole Bible has escaped pollution, so as to convey the same sense now that it did in the original."xiii John 16:13 John 17:17 James 1:25… Jude 3 2 Peter 1:3 2 Timothy 3:15-17

16. God Prefers Whites Mormon Publication on God's preference for white skin: We will first inquire into the results of the approbation or DISPLEASURE OF GOD UPON A PEOPLE, starting with the belief that A BLACK SKIN IS A MARK OF THE CURSE OF HEAVEN PLACED UPON SOME PORTIONS OF MANKIND. Some, however, will argue that a black skin is not a curse, nor a white skin a blessing. In fact, some have been so foolish as to believe and say that a black skin is a blessing, and that the negro is the finest type of a perfect man that exists on the earth; but to us such teachings are foolishness. We understand that when God made man in his own image and pronounced him very good, that he made him white. We have no record of any of God's favored servants being of a black race....every angel who ever brought a message of God's mercy to man was beautiful to look upon, clad in the purest white and with a countenance BRIGHT as the noonday sun. 17. This is very disturbing! Acts 10:34, 35... 34Then Peter opened his mouth and said: In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. 35But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. Acts 17:26-27... 26And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; Revelations 14:6... 6Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earthto every nation, tribe, tongue, and people.

18. Future President of the Mormon church, Joseph Fielding Smith wrote: Not only was Cain called upon to suffer, but because of his wickedness HE BECAME THE FATHER OF AN INFERIOR RACE. (The Way to Perfection, page 101) More from Smith: There is a reason why one man is BORN BLACK and with OTHER DISADVANTAGES, while another is BORN WHITE with great advantages. The reason is that we once had an estate before we came here, and were obedient; more or less, to the laws that were given us there. (Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. 1, page 61)

19. "In the divine economy, as in nature, the man 'is the head of the woman,' and it is written that 'he is the savior of the body.' But 'the man is not without the woman' any more than the woman is without the man, in the Lord. Adam was first formed, then Eve. In the resurrection, they stand side by side and hold dominion together. Every man who overcomes all things and is thereby entitled to inherit all things, receives power to bring up his wife to join him in the possession and enjoyment thereof. 20. Who saves us, Man or God? Who is the Savior, Man or God? Lets see what the Bible says: Jesus is the Savior, not men Isaiah 45:15... Truly You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior! Ephesians 5:22-24... 22Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. 1 Timothy 4:9... For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

21. We know very well where the Mormons had their head and headquarters. Salt Lake City, Utah are the Mormons head quarters and on this point we can openly say that they are not the church that Jesus built.

22. When we talk about the church we do not find any church headquarters but churches equally. Ephesians 1:1... Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus: Philippians 1:1... 1Paul and Timothy, bondservants of Jesus Christ, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with the bishops and deacons: 1 Thessalonians 1:1... 1Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

23. 1 Corinthians 1:1... 2To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:My question is, which one is the mother church, which one is the headquarters? We dont see any! Why Salt Lake City? Well, because like the JW in New York and the Catholics in Rome these people understand that they are not the church of God.

"Remember that God, our heavenly Father, was perhaps once a child, and mortal like ourselves, and rose step by step in the scale of progress, in the school of advancement; has moved forward and overcome, until He has arrived at the point where He now is." (Apostle Orson Hyde, Journal of Discourses, I:123). "God himself is increasing and progressing in knowledge, power, and dominion, and will do so, worlds without end." (Apostle Wilford Woodruff, 1857, Journal of Discourses, VI:120).

25. Do you believe that? Listen to what the Bible says: Malachi 3:6... For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. 1 Samuel 15:28-29... So Samuel said to him, The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you. 29And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent. Hebrews 13:8... 8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. James 1:17... 17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

27. The name Mormon is not the name that the bible commands for the church. We are not commanded to be called Mormons but Christians. We are not Mormons but Christians. Acts 11:26... 26And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. Acts 26:28... 28Then Agrippa said to Paul, You almost persuade me to become a Christian. 1 Peter 4:16... 16Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. Mormons or Christians?Mormons or Christian?

28. Our name form Our name is not church of Christ, this is only a form that we have decided to use to identify what belongs to Christ. Romans 16:16... Greet one another with a holy kiss. The churches of Christ greet you.
