7 Technoparks around the World Technopark establishments started with Silicon Valley, USA in 1951 with the leadership of Stanford University in California USA USA was followed by developed European countries and Japan over the next 20 years 1980’s: technoparks increased dramatically particularly in USA, England, Spain, Italy, Germany and Japan In 2000’s: spread all over the World, including China Recently, there are approximately 900 technoparks in operation in the world.
