What is empowerment? When people are empowered, they have the ability to make choices and change their world. People have control over their lives and make decisions about important things. Do you know any people living/dead who are/have been empowered?

A Constitution Is a set of rules that a government must follow. A special part of the Constitution is the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The Charter applies to everyone and it sets out our most important rights and freedoms.

Economic Empowerment This type of empowerment comes from having enough money to buy what you need: food, shelter, clothing.
Political Empowerment Comes from having a say in how things are organized and how decisions are made. Ex; Vote in election.
Cultural Empowerment Comes from being free to practice your culture no matter how large or small a group your culture is in society.
Societal Empowerment Comes from all members of society being treated fairly and equally.
National Empowerment Comes from a nation having the power to make decisions for itself.
