The Greeks won. The Persians were driven back. Athens lost 192 men. Persia lost 6,400 men. Athens sent runner to Sparta for help (140 miles) Arrived next day. Sparta would not come 1 week due to the festival for Apollo.

Persia Persia had 800 ships and 180,000 men. Persia built supply dumps, canals and bridges. Sparta had 300 (6,000 in reinforcements but never arrived.) A Greek traitor told the Persians to pass through the mountains.
