2 Vocabulary Oracle- A prediction by a wise person. Legalism- A belief that people were bad by nature and needed to be controlled. Silk Road- A network of trade routes that stretched across Asia. The Great Wall- A barrier made of walls that is stretched across China’s northern frontier. Diffusion-The spread of ideas from one culture to another.

3 Geography Physical features : Tibet Plateau Himalayan Mountains Gobi & Taklimakan Deserts Rivers- Huang He Chang Jiang Xi Jiang Human impact on civilization : Plateaus, mountains, and deserts protected from invaders due to elevation, heat, and distance. Rivers provided transportation and resources such as fresh water.
