Let’s learn the first few words… Warehouse = a building where goods are stored Environment = surroundings; all the conditions surrounding and affecting the development of something Healthy = having good health (physical and mental state)
And now some harder words… Influence = power to affect others Translator = someone or something that puts words into different words or words that are easier to understand Pollution = something that is unclean or not pure Fertilizers = manure, chemicals, and other ingredients used to give something a better quality Conserve = to keep from being damaged, lost or wasted; to save
More words… Compost = a mixture of vegetables & other ingredients breaking down used to fertilize soil Organic = of, like, or retrieved from organism Universally = in every part or place Natural gas = a mixture of gases found in the earth used as fuel Herbicides = any chemical substance used to destroy plants, especially weeds Pesticides = any chemical substance used for killing insects or plants
Challenge Words… Forage = to search for something Organically = describing something retrieved from a living organism Sustainable = able to be kept at a constant level or state Vitamin A = a substance found in fish-liver oil, egg yolk, carrots, and other foods that help your vision Beta carotene = ingredient found in certain foods; your liver changes it into Vitamin A
