What is Urology? Urology is a medical specialty that specializes in the disorders and diseases of male and female kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate and the reproductive organs.
Who are some Urologists? Dr. Michael Edward Mayo has committed more than thirty years of his life to urology. He researched and taught about urology. He even attempted to develop a laser-driven lithotripter to annihilate kidney stones.
Is there a difference between male and female Urology? The technical name for the field of urology is Genitourinary. Most urologists provide health care for both genital and urinary systems of males and the urinary system of females. The gynecologist cares for the genital system in females.
What are the most common urinary and reproductive problems in women? Women that are pregnant or sexually active are more likely to kidney infections than women that are not pregnant or sexually active.

Kidney Stones Watch this Video! Kidney stones are hard masses that form in the kidneys. They are usually very easy to remove. If you have a kidney stone you can usually drink things that will break them down so you can let them pass through your body. If this does not work you can use lazzors that will break them into dust that you will eventually urinate out.
Prostate Cancer Prostate cancer is very common in men. The prostate is an organ in the male reproductive system. Most prostate cancers are slow growing, but some may also spread to other parts of the body.
NonGonococcal Urethritis (NGU) This is an infection of the urethra. NGU is caused by germs and chlamydia. This infection is found in both men and women.
