A number of online resource banks provided by DEECD do not have a high uptake by teachers, such as Connect/The Victorian Education Channel, EdNA Online and Knowledge Bank. Schools need support so they can optimize the DEECD investment in resources, such as Interactive White Boards and online conference facilities. The use of learning and content management systems is low, less than 20%. More familiarity with these systems will be required for successful implementation of the Ultranet. There could be more done with regard to collaboration with others to further promote the use of ICT resources.
