Planet X Briefing This is a newly discovered planet that has a large amount of water and plant life to help sustain life (identical to Earth). There are five major areas best fit for human survival already pinpointed on a map. Planet X has no pollution and is totally unpopulated. Planet X is approximately the same distance from its sun as Earth is to our sun, rotates the same speed, and tilts in the same direction as Earth does.
The ultimate questions to finding your new home: What are the factors that affect climate? What is climate? What is weather?
Steps to completing your mission: 1.Loca te the map 2.Study the key information about each of the 5 key locations on Planet X. 3.Identify and research the factors that affect climate on Earth and compare your information to the 5 locations on Planet X.
Completing your mission: 1.Identify which location will be best to start a colony (Pick one out of the five). 2.Once your colony is chosen you must create a BROCHURE to advertise the information about your colony based on your research of climate and weather.
Carry Out Your Mission: Brochure must include: Name of settlement and slogan or saying Flag Description of all factors that affect climate. 3 newly discovered animals and/or plants with behavioral, structural, and physiological adaptations explained.

Proposal of Mission Completion You and your squad will be responsible for completing each daily checkpoint of research: Day 1 – Elevation checkpoint Day 2 – Tilt of the Axis checkpoint Day 3 – Global Position checkpoint Day 4 - Fronts (Hot/Cold air) checkpoint Day 5 – Cloud formation checkpoint
