2  Background/ History of IM  Describe Research  Determining Criteria  Recommendation

3 The purpose of this project is to research the differences in chats and IM communication for Mass Comm and Marketing majors who use these technologies in the field.

4  Quantum Link creator of American Online (AOL) and AIM, created the first IM, for their current customers.  Modern IM as we know it today began to grow in popularity in the mid to late 1990s, starting with ICQ, which identified users by a unique number instead of a user name. AIM and other IM programs followed.  Now, instant messaging programs are more versatile as ever, with advanced features like video chat, voicemail, and group IM sessions. Brosix continues to be on the forefront of this ever-growing trend on instant communication by going back to the roots of IM- a secure, private communication network to make sure conversations and data are safe.

5  1 Dynamics of IMs  2 Convenience of IM  3 The ease of usage (user friendliness)  4 Other plug-ins that can be use along side the IM.
