Why is it important to study the past? In this unit, we will discuss this question, as well as others, as we take a look at Our Changing World!
What is this unit all about? We will compare and contrast the differences between people who lived long ago, and those of today.
Teachers Needed *We will learn to recognize the differences and similarities of schools.
Trains, Planes, and Autos *We will look at how transportation has changed over the years.
Technology *We will discuss the role that technology has played over the years and how that has developed our community.
The People of Long Ago *The age difference. *The height difference *What they did for work
Schools of Long Ago *The age that children completed their schooling. *One room school houses or at home schooling
Moving Forward in Transportation *Trains *Covered wagons and other horse draw wagons. *Walking

So Why do we Study the Past? *From the past we can learn to help our future. *We can appreciate where we came from and how we have evolved. *To realize that through the years, one thing has stayed the same…The Human Dream.
