Everything’s Coming up Roses! What makes a plant, a plant?
What are the parts of a plant? Roots Stem Leaves Flower Pistil Stamen Seeds/Fruit
What do plants need to grow? Light Water Air Soil/Nutrients
Describe the lifecycle of a plant A seed is planted. It gets water, air, and light and begins to grow. First, the roots grow down and the stem grows up. Next, leaves and buds grow. The new flower makes new seeds so a new plant can grow again.
What things can keep plants from growing? Touch Light Gravity Environmental Stress

Challenge! Using the Internet or a textbook, research a solution for the aphid problem. 2. Find a flower at home or at school and identify all of its parts. OR take parts from several different flowers and create your own flower!
